There are a couple of posters on here who have it in for Joe, most back him fully and match going fans dont get on his back at all, he makes mistakes but all keepers do. He was outstanding for Birmingham City in his loan spell there behind a shite defense.

Neither club are going to do that with the 5% wage increase rule though tbh, we're in a better position in that we'll be getting rid of Toure and a couple of others on high wages giving us a bit of breathing room in that regard. Everton simply don't have the high earners to get rid of. Your last published wage bill was around £51m in 2014/15, that won't have changed drastically. It means the highest you can have your wage bill without any increases in commercial (not TV) income is £53.5m or so. So spending hundreds of millions? Won't happen I'm afraid, that's Premier League FFPR for you. It'll teach any club that gets investment not to vote for something just because un*ted and arsenal tell them to.

We all thought ffpr would kill the premiership and only a big team could ever win it ,pity Leicester didnt listen and give us a chance last season !
 
I think with Hart he wont go and will get a year with Pep as first choice keeper. We have major priorities to go at first compared to Hart. I have slated Hart in the past but he is going to be a main stay and starter under Pep. Look at his keeping alone in big games he has done well to keep us in the games. I feel full backs , midfield and 1 defender and maybe a striker too. Someone to push Kun on with Nacho progressing along slowly.

It might not have killed Leicester's chance of winning the Premier League but it has killed Everton's chances of increasing their wage bill by more than £70k per week for next season. Btw they're apparently paying Aaron Lennon £75k a week.

If rumours are to be believed, Moshiri's best mate Usmanov will buying the remaining shares of Everton this season and we'll have the second richest owners in the league, behind City of course.

As I touched on above, this isn't a result of TV money etc. This is because we have an owner who wants to play ball. Similarly to City languishing around the relegation zone until they were propped up with investment, Everton have been underperforming for over two decades now. The investment is simply propping us back up. It's not something your average club, such as West Ham, would be able to do. TV money can not afford them to place that much money on a standard goalkeeper.

I'm loving all the new investment into the Prem. More teams fighting for the title makes it far more interesting. I hope you get your new stadium too. Seeing all those red noses put out of joint will be funny as fuck.
