Btw they're apparently paying Aaron Lennon £75k a week.

There are a couple of posters on here who have it in for Joe, most back him fully and match going fans dont get on his back at all, he makes mistakes but all keepers do. He was outstanding for Birmingham City in his loan spell there behind a shite defense.

Neither club are going to do that with the 5% wage increase rule though tbh, we're in a better position in that we'll be getting rid of Toure and a couple of others on high wages giving us a bit of breathing room in that regard. Everton simply don't have the high earners to get rid of. Your last published wage bill was around £51m in 2014/15, that won't have changed drastically. It means the highest you can have your wage bill without any increases in commercial (not TV) income is £53.5m or so. So spending hundreds of millions? Won't happen I'm afraid, that's Premier League FFPR for you. It'll teach any club that gets investment not to vote for something just because un*ted and arsenal tell them to.

Players like Peinaar on 50,000 per week (I know, I know, he's not worth a tenth of that) being off the payroll will seriously free up funds. Jagielka said in a very recent interview that over ten players could leave the club.
Furthermore, with the arrival of Moshiri, he's been brining in his own people. Actual businessmen on the board instead of the theatre owner who thinks he understands business. It means we'll be receiving income which will blow our current pathetic deals out of the water, further increasing our wage cap through own revenue.

If you get rid of ten players on £50k a week you could probably afford two top players with that, you'd have to massively overpay in wages to tempt them to Everton. To put it in relative terms, that's a Rooney and a Kolarov.
