Gundogan is world class, Nolito will be a huge improvement to our starting XI, and Zinchenko isn't going out on loan. Leading the pack for Jesus and Moreno, the top top South American talents. Great window.

Throw in Sane, Stones, a goalkeeper and a wildcard (Kroos, Bonucci etc) and it's an amazing window.

Yeah if we sign those 6 players it will have been a great window, but at the minute we haven't and the season starts in less than a month.

And it might pan out until the window shuts, & a club might pull the plug or a player change his mind if someone else is also in for him, because that's what happens in football. To everyone,

I'm not complaining about our business but I'm not deluding myself to think we've done brilliantly either.

Gundogan and Nolito are great but we hunted Guardiola for 3 seasons and what with Khaldoon's rhetoric about being furious last season and being aggresive in the market etc. etc. I think people expected a lot more.

We still have 4 fullbacks over the age of 30, an ageing Yaya who should have left 2 summers ago and question marks over the quality of Bony and Fernando etc.

In football their are many variables but I thought we would have planned this window to death, above all others, as it is imperative that we give the best manager in the world the tools required for the job. Seems pathetic that yet again we don't want to meet the £40m valuation for Sane and £50m for Stones just to save what? £5m overall? Who cares if it jeapordises our entire season.

It doesn't is the answer.

If it was so desperately important to Pep.Guardiola to sign Stones, this week, at any cost, then we would pay 80 mil for him. It isn't.

It's only that important to you.

Nailed it.

People here are panicking because, in line with every other team expected to compete for the PL, we've only signed 2-3 players with a month of transfer window left.

Pep doesn't seem to share these insecurities, nor should he, as they stem from small club mentality and a fear we somehow don't have the best squad and best manager in the PL and thus have the best chance of winning it.

Also, 50 mil or whatever for Stones & 40 mil for Sané, may already be 10 mil more for both than we were originally wanting to pay.

It's a great deal of money for two completely unproven players. Pep may actually prefer to spend it on someone else if it goes above that, for all we know.

Are we not being aggressive in the market? gen question, what are your expectations?

I think were doing pretty well with what we have signed and where we are with other targets.

I don't think we are. Being aggresive in the market was when we wanted Kaka so we offered £100m. Being aggresive is United offering £85m for Pogba. Basically meeting the asking price as long as it is reasonable: which the Stones and Sane ones are. Everton have said all along £50m, if we want him pay up if we don't move on.

It was the same last summer when we were arguing for months on end for Sterling and De Bruyne and in the end we near enough paid the full valuation for both.

Like I said I'm not bothered either way as I think we will get them both in the end and I'm sure our negotiators will give themselves a huge pat on the back for saving £1m.
