Whatever happened to Yaya's agents claims that he was off and inundated with offers? Hanging on to the last year of his contract seems to be his only option. Even with us paying half his wages I'm not sure there'd be too many takers in the PL to have him on loan.
His agent is not worth listening to.

It's too Yaya's credit that he has not moved, because I am sure he could have moved to China or the Middle East if he had wanted to. I also think that he may have slimmed down a bit over the Summer. I cannot see him being the player around which our team revolved, which was very much the case in previous seasons, but I can see him having a role to play particularly in the opening games when players like De Bruyne, and Gundogan may not play due to rest and injury.

I agree especialy the well documented training pep has the players on. If your not in shape you get in shape or simply do not play

I wouldn't be surprised if nasri is shifted into a deeper role; one where he can dictate the play from perhaps

He's not got much of a prayer in the attaching midfield role so I think he will be pushed back deeper to play a role like pirlo did in the later stages of his career

Disagree, that's what he wants his centre backs doing.
Nasri I feel will go, known since Feb pep was coming but still turns up to pre-season overweight. That tells you all you need to know, not motivated and doesn't give a shit

Does anyone know where Nasri is up to in terms of his recovery from injury? As far as I'm aware he hasn't featured in pre season, unless he was involved yesterday.

Nasri is often mentioned as someone with an attitude problem, turning up overweight doesn't exactly dispel that. Shame as I read some quotes from him during the summer that he knew he could have achieved more in his career so far.

I was hoping this would be a big season for him, but If his attitude isn't right Pep won't have any time for him. It'll be interesting to see what happens with him though, as I'm not sure any clubs that are interested would be able to afford his ages.

Biggest surprise to me is that the full back situation not been addressed. Unless Maffeo and Angelino capable of stepping up.

Perhaps, but people are saying we need another midfielder. For me there are two ways this pans out:

1. We get rid of nasri and try and replace him, not sure who we would go for though as Kroos looks off the table

2. We keep him and try and utilise him for the time being until a better option comes along

The problem is I can't see us being able to get shut of him with his current wages

I like nasri a lot, his ball retention is amongst the best. Just disappointed he doesn't appear raring to go. I thought over his injury end of last season, just not fit to return. See how pans out, his and yayas attitude will I feel dictate the team spirit. Hopefully both onboard with the collective aims

Agree with all you say. He and Yaya obviously are very close, and I would hope if either are having a negative impact on team spirit, Pep will sort it out pronto
