Couldn't agree more, we have always relied on individual brilliance instead of teamwork and that's why we've never been consistent whether it's domestically or in the Champions League.
It's all good to have team work and all that but the need for individual quality is even more important. You can cite Leicester, Dortumund 2013, Atletico as example but remember that for every Leicester there are probably 5 Sunderlands and 5 Norwichs. My point is these are usually exceptions to the rule rather than the rule itself. And then if you look carefully at those teams mentioned above, there are outstanding players that play side by side with bang average ones. Granted, the teamwork was instrumental to their success, but it wouldn't have been so if they did not have those quality individuals in their ranks. Now is the time we must act and indeed we are so blessed that our greatest rivals in the transfer market in EPL (Man utd and Chelsea - who are usually more ambitious in the market than Arsenal) are going to miss out on CL football. We must make a huge leap in terms of the quality of players in our ranks. How we are going to do that is
another story for another day. We must act.

So Jeremy says, what type of fuxking name in Jeremy, btw?, says we are only in for Laporte, Stones, Sane and Gundogan.

Amazing stuff, truly. Might even have read that on here somewhere.

Jeremy then states Joe is staying and the only difference to his info is that we have no interest in Pogba or Kroos.

Someone better tell Khaldoon, considering those are the names he briefed in April!!

I know it's half term, but was there any need this person needed to make anything personal by citing me in his crystal ball.

I know info leaks in a variety of ways, even today, I have heard Andre Gomes' name mentioned in conversation (although United want him) so will ask people like Jeremy and Anonymous to just do their own thing.

You famous mate!!....I dont know who this Jeremy guy is but he must be also reading your comments, to mention you in his post on another site!! Cheers!

Teamwork and individual brilliance are NOT mutually exclusive. Equally you're trying to categorise "teamwork" with defensive minded, quick counter attacking teams, why? Do you think attacking teams like Barcelona and Bayern Munich don't require teamwork?

If we can get Gounogan,Laporte,Stones and Sane before the euro it will be amazing!
After that we will have all the summer to center on Pogba!

Our defence is what is interesting me, we have let MDM go and the feeling seems to be that Mangala will go as well, so with two centre halves leaving and potentialy 3 coming in ( Laporte, Stones, Denayer ) I am left wondering what formation are we looking to play, There seems to be an alarming lack of noise regarding full backs unless either Denayer and Angelino are being earmarked for these positions or could it be that Pep is looking to go 3 at the back, it would be a brave move and has been tried before with little joy in the premier league.

I do like the ideal of 3 at the back with two pacey wide men providing cover and overloading the midfield, interesting times ahead.

It is about opinions, but I get the feeling that a lot of people on here (not you I hasten to add) think their opinion is more important than the clubs when it comes to a players' valuation. If the club buy Pogba i'll be delighted. If they buy Stones I'll be delighted. If they pass on either because of the fee I'll respect that decision too.

It's a fair point that the club need to decide what to pay and are entitled to walk away if they thinkit is too much. However, if they did, as is claimed in some quarters, do that with RVN and Hazard, it might have cost us two league titles. I also reckon they could have bought Bale for £35m when that looked a hefty price tag.

I hope we can afford Pogba...

I think other deals for us will be announced before Pogba.

Admitting the Pogba price we are prepared to pay may hurt us when trying to keep other deals at a lower level.

I agree absolutely. All I'm saying is that individual quality is just as crucial if not more and it's on that premise I'm suggesting we do everything possible to poach Europe's best players
