What price a Pogba Neymar double announcement the same day the Rags announce Phil Jones has signed a contract extension?
 
If it's messi it has to be this summer or never the only other player it would be is neymar. I'm sure I read or heard didn't pep tell bayern to go n get him neymar . Think it was that prick off supplement programme few weeks ago when he slated pep about only buying the leagues he won and he's found him out
 
To be a record signing it'd have to be someone 22-28 years old imo. Younger or older and it's much riskier imo. So from a quick look at Barca's wiki 5 candidates jump out.

Neymar 24 ....think he'd be fantastic for us (probably best return on investment) but can't see Barca selling him.
Alba 27 ......don't we have a history of record fees for full backs :-) .... but this is supposed to be a British record for any position so I doubt this one.
Busquets 27 ....along with Fenandinho and Gundogan would be some midfield (Doubt Barca would let him go at any price though)
Rakatic 28 ... great player but I'd doubt if it's him.
Messi 28 ... I think he could struggle in England but wouldn't we love to try it. Maybe the time is right?

Maybe New York City are going to buy him with the money invested into the group by the Chinese and then we loan him for 5 years?

What are you basing your Messi prognosis on? He doesn't seem to struggle against any English team he faces - in fact he has a habit of tearing us all new ones.

I don't think he'd struggle, but wasn't the first goal he scored in England the penalty against us? His record is strangely poor

Playing in Europe and playing in England are two very different things.

Although I don't doubt he would be great over here but he wouldn't post the crazy numbers he has in Spain.

Just a hunch. I'd love to sign him and put him to the test though obviously.

why would he struggle in the most overrated league in the world.

and dont give me that the epl is more physical crap because players like silva bosses this league every season.
 
Messi likes to attack from the right hand side. There's no place in the team for him AND Navas, so it's a non starter.
