Think he mentioned a forward also...all of a sudden we're getting James links. Pessimism setting in for me. I'd rather not buy a Real reject as a marquee signing to be honest.

The only reason madrid got Morata back is because they want to make more profit on him. Who do Bayern buy if they sell him? Bayern dont need to sell a single player since they sre financially healthy.

Just to clarify this now commonly misreported comment.

He said that it would not just smash the BRITISH transfer record but obliterate it.

Now that might be close to the world record fee or not but world record was not stated.

I hope his guy was extremely confident, as well as himself, because those we're some pretty bold statements to make after the Pogba debacle, Laporte blowing us off at the last minute, slight hope for aubameyang, and a real possibility that Sane says no.

Worth recalling - though - that with the money everyone now knows British clubs have the British transfer record will soon BE the world record one thanks to inflation.

Or to put it another way the British transfer record is bound to skyrocket soon because every club in the PL has money to do big deals. And the world knows it.

I'm not the brightest mate, can you try a third way? So de bruyne went for £55. are you saying this would like 70 or something this year?
