The Ashes 2010/2011 thread

Very poor batting, good bowling from Siddle in this session but its taken them 2 and a bit sessions to start bowling well and thats only 1 player. Watson, Johnson, Hilfenhaus and Doherty have been shocking allday yet we are 8 down because 1 guy has bowled well for 30 minutes. Its vital now that Jim or Swann does well for us whether its for 30 minutes tonight or not we need to start well and pick up early wickets

agree mate, definitely need to bowl well and take some early wickets.
like you said take siddle out the picture and it's been a fairly even opening first day

I wouldnt say it was even tbh, take Siddle out and we are 187/2 so we would be way on top. Just goes to show 1 man can change a game but we all thought it would be our bowler beginning with S not theirs

I wouldn't write us out of this Test yet. I think we saw a little bit more to go from our Batsmen than they did from their attack. Siddle's once in a lifetime day not withstanding. This is not an Aussie side to fear.
