If it was a County match wouldn't the Club get fined for producing a sub-standard pitch?

But is it substandard? There seems to have been an awful lot of dismissals down to poor batting. Both captains said they would bat first on it, so they didn't see any horrors there.

Not sure there's been any dismissals that were entirely down to the pitch, certainly none of them were a result of the pitch misbehaving.

Nah, the inspector would be called but they generally only punish pitches with very uneven bounce or ones that are turning hugely. There is a lot of turn here but that's not why the wickets are falling.

Has to be said, the quality of umpiring has been very good so far in this test. And it's good to hear the third umpire as he reviews a decision.

Cant blame the pitch for most of the dismissals though.

Feel sorry for the people who have bought tickets for Saturday and Sunday.

At least at a Football match you can guarantee seeing the full match when you purchase a ticket.
