The Ashes 2015

England bowling dictates that we'll get them 320-9 and then Starc and Hazlewood will get a 200 run partnership as Broad tries to bowl them out by bouncing the ball by his own front foot for 20 overs.

Good day overall, the best I've seen England bowl and work in the field for a long while. Turgid pitch but the ECB obviously panicked and had to kill it. I'd rather lose with a strong fight and learning experience, a la Aussies 2013, that plod in matches where we just kill the pitch and our players learn nothing about playing cricket in the real world. The NZ ODIs were a breath of fresh air, we need the bounciest pitches and blood our batsmen to grow a pair and take Johnson on.

I fancy our chances tomorrow, I don't know why but I do. I see us with a hundred or so lead.

Also, in the interests of Bluemoon unity and despite getting to my age; I have never yet met an Aussie that I didn't like but;

Fuck off Australia. Come on England.

That's the spirit. Probably not Test Match Special language though.............

I have been getting into the Ashes for what its worth I wouldnt be as clued up on the players and how the pitch is playing but so far i think its being a cracking test. Theres plenty of runs in this and to see players getting in and getting out for silly shots makes it that bit better to be watching. Also think if England get Haddin and Watson by lunch tomorrow they will have the upper hand if they dont I think they can run up a high score. Think if the Aussies are to win this test they need to be hitting over the 500 mark. I just think this test will end in a draw.

My predict for the series for what its worth Aus 2-1 win.

Never met her (unfortunately), but Olivia Newton John. And yes; I know she was born in England, but to me she's still a colonial.

Grrrrr!

That's a big if, considering that we are pretty much solely responsible for both of them even averaging in the low 30's. We're pretty much the only team who lets them score runs, but we make up for that by letting them fill their boots.

I've never met an Aussie I did like.

Australia need to make hay in the first 10 over before the new ball is due.

I can see them getting around 370-400 So it will be close but I can see England winning by more than 150 runs.
