Balance and Root look well set now for biggish scores in my opinion. Just this second rattled off a hundred too.

Very encouraging for our bowlers that both of our wickets to fall have been down to the pitch, with Cook's hitting the rough and stopping and Ballance getting a ball that bounced literally twice as high as it should have. If it keeps swinging, then our bowlers should have no excuses not to have a great time on day 4 or 5. Just need the batsmen to hang in there and get a total for them to bowl at. Nice that Bell has managed to avoid getting out to a wonder ball when hes still in single figures, he seems to be bringing out the best in bowlers recently.

Just like in the first innings when England were 40-odd for 3 (should have been for 4; thank Brad). But we got up to that mark then.
