The Balloon at Sunderland...

Graham Poll just said on 5 Live that the rule is that there should have been a drop-ball because of a foreign object on the pitch.

So howcome that didn't happen when we played Barnsley(?) in the cup? At least both decisions were consistent

It was Sheff Utd and the Sky Sports Big Four tm have a different set of rules to us

All kidding aside they said on sky that it was a Liverpool balloon and it was Liverpool's responsabilty to remove it while the game was going on!! What total bullshit it was up to the match officals to stop it and have it removed.

Sheffield United and it was said at the time that the goal should have been disallowed.

I hope the lad doesn't suffer any form of retribution from other dippers for this. We all know how classy Liverpool fans are.
