The battle for 3rd place

Correct! That said if we win tonight by four and the Tarquins only win by two tomorrow then I think even if we did lose our GD would be enough. That said I want 3rd place

They're playing tonight as well.

They play tonight pal... and kick off 15 minutes before us

We need to be finishing third.

I don't care about Liverpool or Arsenal, we're playing West Brom at home who have stayed up and have little to play for, and Watford away who have stayed up and have little to play for. If we can't win both of those games then we can't complain about finishing outside of the top4.

In my opinion, a top 4 place is the very least we deserve for the way we have played at times this season and that generally the team (and I guess more particularly Pep) have been a little over criticised based purely on where we sit in the league and without actually taking stock of how we have generally performed. Even during our two title winning seasons, I don't recall watching City as often dominant as they have been this season. We are already 6 points better off then we were for last years entire campaign and I've lost count of how many games we should have won but didn't.

In terms of top 4, whatever happens tonight you suspect we are going to have to be on our mettle on Sunday to see this through.

Unless we really hit top form tonight, I'm not convinced that GD will apply in our favour should we need it to. I don't expect us to lose either game we have left but doubt there will be a reprieve if we do. I think it's naive to expect we will go to Watford on Sunday and roll them over because they have nothing to play for. Swansea away last year is too fresh in the memory.

No disrespect meant to those clubs but if we can't beat WBA and Watford then we don't deserve a thing.

Exactly right. I'm far more trepidatious about tonight than Watford though. We need to play at a tempo far quicker than we usually do when faced with a parked bus. Hit the bastards hard and fast
