I don't think they'll drop a single point in their remaining fixtures, and that notwithstanding they look a good bet to win the Europa League anyway. I'm at a loss to understand why so many people on here think they're shit. They've got a great manager, who espouses a high octane pressing game that has seen them get progressively stronger as the season has gone on - they've won 9, drawn 4 and lost just 1 of their last 14 fixtures. We will need at least 8 points from our remaining 4 fixtures to finish above both them and the rags, and resting players against Stoke is not an option IMO

Fantastic post Exeter. Our team should be focused on Stoke, not Madrid. No one should be rested for Saturday.

Unlikely to win it based on what was served up last night, but if the Madrid game goes into extra time, were screwed. Isn,t that a tad contradictory ?

Even if we beat Madrid we have to win the final. My point is that we are probably the weakest team remaining and its still a long shot given our stop start and unpredictable season that we will win the CL.
Personally I feel the league games are more important but MP seems hell bent on winning the CL and that could be our undoing in the league. Worrying.

Pep will be here what ever and the players we want will be too! Fans getting there knickers in a twist about top 4 personally I dont care if we finish 6th! If we cant win the league The fa cup is the trophy i want then the league cup and we already won that.

As its looking tonight the rags must be odds on to win the FA Cup but I'm sure they would happily forfeit it if they were guaranteed CL football next season.

You're absolutely right of course but what's prompt you to say that now? The fact that United have beaten villa and palace at home? I could fucking beat villa and palace are already on the beach! They have lot harder tests to come. No need to worry yet.

A lot could depend on whether Vardy is suspended for the rags game.

He isn't. Missing out on the Chimps League will cost us £50m minimum, and make it harder to attract the targets we need to progress. I would imagine our owners, who see the Chimps League as the best way of raising the UAE's profile, would rightly view finishing outside the top 4 (particularly if we are replaced by the rags AND the dippers) as an unmitigated fucking disaster
