The battle for 4th place

The four goals today help the GD over United reach an all but uncatchable 20 and are like earning 4 points today. Win next week at Southampton in the hardest game left (good fast team that will test our defence with something to play for and right in the midst of our CL games is why it is harder than Arsenal) and it could be all but over if other results go our way -as in Arsenal / or United drop any points up to then. And v Sunderland away and Leicester at home both could.

Huge win today.

Soton actually want Europa and in between our semi final legs I would consider it a good result if we get a draw there.

We will have to beat Arsenal.

Would have taken 7 points from Chelsea away, Newcastle away and Stoke home. Just really annoying how we dropped points at Newcastle. Would have expected to draw at Chelsea, not there.

Well they and Liverpool do not mess about against the bottom teams like we do.

Liverpool need to be watched as much as United and might be tougher for us to kill off as they are flying under Klopp.

As for next week at Southampton - as I said above our toughest game left. But we probably need to win if we do not want a last match battle for top 4 needing a win at Swansea whilst watching other teams as well.

But lose next week and then not beat Arsenal and we might need snookers. So I think we have to go for a win next week as Southampton will play openly.
