The only positive of the EL is that it could give Pep a chance to play promising young players in a less intense environment, which is one of the things I am most excited about seeing, some youth getting a chance hopefully.

I mentioned this earlier, if dippers win Europa, they are on CL, along with first four in prem, fourth not under threat, as five teams allowed, trust me!Good question. Don't think it's come up.

No the answer is more complicated. If Liverpool win Europa they take the 4th place of any team playing in the same colour there or above in the table owing to the EUFA rule about colour balance which they imposed after being accused of racism. So Arsenal and United - playing in red like Liverpool - are vulnerable. Any team in blue who finish fifth will be granted automatic entry to balance it out with Leicester. Though if we agree to play in luminous green we also get pot 1 as that goes down well in Asia.

I was not doing anything of the sort. Sorry if that's what you thought. It was not intended.
For weeks now people have been posting that question you answered and there have been quite a few jokey replies.
I replied straightforwardly explaining the facts (again and again) the first few times.
After that it just became amusing that despite dozens of explanations people kept answering it.
But certainly the jokey replies are not intended to demean anybody. Certainly not you for answering properly to the OP.
Just the general idea of how this misunderstanding about 4th came about.
It was only ever relevant to other teams and if we also won the CL. We were never under threat of missing out if fourth in any scenario.
Just in the one our team appear to have missed - NOT finishing 4th!
