The battle for 4th place

Southampton is tricky as they are still in hunt for Europe and also in between Madrid games, but still fancy us to win.

Arsehole have Norwich who are fighting to stay up so not a given.

Rags have Leicester, West Ham and also Norwich who need points

Basically it's ours if we turn up

I reckon 4 more points for us will see us get top 4, that would give us 9 point more than the rags currently have with just 12 points for them to play for. I cant see them getting wins against all of the three teams you have listed above.

Rags have Cup final on their mind so can see a few points lost for them.

The younger members of the team will want a medal so won't take too many risks with injuries no matter what turtle head says

If we beat the arse one more win sees us above them. Huge game that.

Yep, i totally forgot about the FA Cup final, just shows how it;s stock has fallen.

We have a horrendous record v arse, that Adebayor game apart. But my reason to believe is simply that at some point this season we have GOT to do it against a rival. one of the stand out reasons were in this fight is our record against the top teams. The law of averages surely suggests we'll do one of em and they're the only ones left.
At home we have a terrific record, last season apart.

The key as I have said for a while is we keep 3 points clear of United going into the last week after we play Arsenal.

They then have 2 matches and we have 1 and a vastly superior goal difference and then it is in our hands not theirs on the final weekend.

Give them the sniff of winning the last two to pip us to fourth by being - say - just 2 points ahead and we lose control and may miss out whatever we do at Swansea.

Unless United drop points in their next two (as they might) the only way we can do this is to get 4 points minimum from our next 2 games. Get six and it may not even go to the last Sunday which would be nice.

Either way Southampton is a must not lose game, but one I think we can win because they will play openly and go for goals but can be got at round the back.

Pick a team with that in mind, we win. Pick a team with Real Madrid part 2 in mind and who knows?

And if United drop points against Leicester it might not even matter if we lose so in that case we should go for it all the more.

I'm still thinking of 2nd, never mind 4th, Spurs run in isn't easy, and we're only 4 behind.

Possible but unlikely they will quit so easily unless Leicester win it at Old Trafford if they can by that point.

After the last few months a CL final and guaranteed third for us would be a huge relief and more than enough.
