You would sacrifice a chance to win the competition at the semi final stage to stand more chance of playing in it next season, sorry but that's crazy and would make us a bit of a joke in the competition!!

I also think anyone who would prefer Arsenal out of the top 4 then United are getting it wrong. A top 4 United with a new manager could be a challenge, also an Arsenal outside the top 4 would make them make changes be it managerial or investment wise, so could well be more dangerous to us then a 4th place Arsenal!!

Sacrifice the champions league so we can get into the champions league. I like the logic. Particularly as 70,000 people would have had tickets for the semi if they could and those that did get them often spent hours on the phone or internet.

Personally, I don't think we can win it. Therefore, if we want to be in it next season (with the wider exposure and the few bob it brings in!), we need to clinch a top 4 spot. I thought that others would disagree with me. That's fine, I don't have a problem with that. It's all about opinions. There'd be no one happier than me if the team proved me wrong in the San Siro late next month.

Southampton away is very tricky at the best of times but between the madrid games and with rotation i would not be surprised to lose it

We have enough players back to give both a proper go.

Last 5 games we are 13/15 points with a QF against PSG thrown in.

It was a sloppy performance against Newcastle but 7/9 with Chelsea away in that lot isn't bad.

Swansea are well and truly on the beach but I think 2 wins in 3 will be enough. Well it definitely will be enough if one is Arsenal.

Hopefully Leicester will give them lot a game next week.
