The battle for 4th place

Personally, I don't think we can win it. Therefore, if we want to be in it next season (with the wider exposure and the few bob it brings in!), we need to clinch a top 4 spot. I thought that others would disagree with me. That's fine, I don't have a problem with that. It's all about opinions. There'd be no one happier than me if the team proved me wrong in the San Siro late next month.
We have as good a chance as the other three teams of winning it,and the final a one off game anything can happen,it will be hard but it's doable,as for the league third or forth could be a lot clearer next week after Leicester play the rags before we play Southampton..

I don't think we can win it, we are the weakest team left in it and I can't see us getting past real. Never know though, if atletico beat Bayern and we manage to get through real, we may have a chance. That's not disrespecting atletico, I just think bayern would tear us a new one, best team in the competition.

We want Tottenham to win tomorrow. That means Leicester have to win more than one of their remaining games and will focus next week at OT.

If Tottenham drop points tomorrow Leicester can win the league next week.

That sounds like a good thing but it might make them more cautious against United and they will also know they have two games to put it right if they lose.

On balance Tottenham keeping the pressure up means Leicester may feel they need to try to get something from next week and not face needing to do that from both their remaining games.

So for us Tottenham winning tomorrow is a good result, I think.

One last big push; win our next two (at St Mary's and the Arsenal game), and that ought to do it. Is it worth sacrificing the s/f against Madrid (playing a weaker side) for a top 4 spot? In my opinion, yes.

Play our best team for all remaining games Jim. I can see where you are coming from , as next year the money increases further. PB did a great article on this.

In addition to us losing the £75M if we don't get Champs League, equally important is the boost it would give to the rags. Fourth place between us and them could be a £150 million differential. It's mega.

As you say all about opinions, but I feel it makes a mockery of all the hard work to get to this point to then not give it everything! Also what message that sends to Aguero/ Silva/ Kompany etc.

I actually think we will not win it but also despite giving it all in the CL we will still be in the top 4!!
