Pellergrini was brought in to steady the ship after the fallout from Bobby being manager. We as fans looking in from the outside can only speculate on what we think decisions are made on, unless we have inside knowledge from within.

For me we wanted Pep 3 years ago but he decided that that was not at the right time in his managerial career. He may of at that time informed txiki or whoever that he would take charge after he next club job finishes. So the club have to hire someone who they think will bring stability and hopefully trophies keeping us challenging.

Have we as a club within that 3 years pushed on in terms of player recruitment etc....the answer is no. We have brought players in but some have failed to impress. It was not the look of providing a new look team, just adding to what was considered a core group of first team players.

The club were never going to allow Pellegrini to make wholesale changes to the first team, he was probably informed to get on with what he already had, bar a few signings to inject new blood.

Hmmm Mangala 35 Mil, otomendi 35 Mil, Sterling 40 Mil, KDB 54 Mil not bad for "few signings"

True, but I am not talking about money, I am talking re-building a squad, something Pellegrini has not done in the time he has been here. And to be honest Sterling and KDB are not his signings at all, they have been purchased for Pep to utilise

Just my opinion
