Valencia qualified by finishing 4th, but Sevilla also qualified by winning the Europa League

Similarly, if Liverpool win the Europa League, it won’t affect the team that finishes 4th.

The only anomaly would be if City finished 5th, but replaced the 4rh placed team by winning the Champions League.
That was the situation in 2012 when Spurs finished 4th, but were trumped by Chelsea beating Bayern Munich.
