I'm going to not get too giddy about the teams above dropping points, we'll end up losing to Southampton if we big our team up too much but hopefully they can see themselves there's everything to play for. If we finish 3rd great, still not good to finish below the Spuds you know how smug their lot will be about that don't you?

Southampton falls right between the two Madrid games. no chance we'll win. pellers will see to that. if by chance we go thought to the final expect 11 youth players in the side for the final games. i'll take 4th right now.
Only if spurs feel so deflated after last night it affects their performance really badly in the final games. Maybe not impossible...Spuds drop 2 points. Could City even nick 2nd place now ??

If Spurs lose by a few goals, win by 1 nil and draw a game. They will have 4 points and a worse goal difference than now.
If we win all our games and score enough goals then we'd take 2nd on goal difference.
It's very unlikely but stranger things ....

I think those delighted that Tottenham lost 2 points last night so we could catch them for 2nd are being a bit presumptuous.
This gives Leicester so much breathing space - from needing to win two games to be sure to now needing just one - that it would not surprise me that they play with just a little less intensity at OT.
Maybe they also want to win the title in the next game in front of their own fans rather than somewhere else.
Either way I do not think Tottenham's result last night did us any favours.
We quite possibly will have to win or at least draw at Southampton - though at least we will know this by kick off.
Otherwise if we lose and United go into the final three games (with us having just 2) only 2 points behind us it is entirely in their hands to finish above us.
I have been warning in here for weeks that we must avoid that scenario as we do not want to have to win the last two AND hope that United slip up somewhere if it ended up in their hands thanks to that game in hand.
We could then beat Arsenal and win 10-0 at Swansea and still did not qualify after the new young Pele scrambles one in against Bournemouth in the last minute causing this forum to implode.
So we need a full strength, fully focused team on Sunday for a tough game at Southampton where they pretty much have to win to retain any chance of getting a Europa place.
Not sure we will get it though if we are still in the SF after tonight. As we surely are going to be.
Hopefully we win 4-0 tonight and can rest players next Wednesday instead!

There is a possibility for second and should aim for it . If we can't make it we could still get 3 rd or 4 th.

Positivity is important and IF we had our full strength side playing in these next 3 games without distractions - as do everyone else involved - then I would share that mood.
But the problem is that we do not and have two tough matches coming up. Both of which we need to either win or win one and not lose the other. When both opponents have something to play for as well.
If Pelle plays our strongest team despite the CL matches in between then we can do it and possibly get 2 nd.
But it is hard to see that really happening for the Southampton game which really is a must not lose unless Leicester do us a favour just before.
Play like they have been and they can get a result v United. But United seem to be getting a lot of lucky breaks right now. So let's hope they are due some bad luck.
The result from OT could dictate the mood and the result.

Really??? The bookies don't think so. Anything between 6 to 1 and 10 to 1 ON to finish in the top 4

if we somehow get 3rd or above it would be quite an achievement after a season of bad luck, injuries galore, rank bad refereeing and having as our manager. would be incredible in fact.

Not sure they have much left in the tank. They looked down and out against WBA big time last night.Would have to win every game and hope Spurs lose two of their three, or pick up no more than three points from them, so it's unlikely.
