Ultimately the players have got to take responsibility, is it Pellers fault that some of them stroll about couldn't give a shit? Yes he could not select them etc etc but these players are paid a kings ransom to play fucking football, not working down the pit or on some oil rig or even minimum wage, they are paid to kick a football & the least the fans deserve is 100% effort, that's all we ask #CTWD
Managers job is to manage the players like a work force . If your team or some members are not doing their jobs the manager is there to make sure they do and that he has failed big time

Of course Manuel has failed, so have the players, where's the personal pride if you're not playing for the manager?
It's too easy just to blame the manager.
Hopefully Pep will come in and put a rocket up each and every players arse & if they don't want to work their bollocks off then off they go.

Spot on - his job is to Motivate, Inspire, and Lead - we have ambeled along with a lack of urgency, don't worry there is always the next match attitude. Despite KM end of season message, from what i can see, we are far worse off than we were three years ago, in terms of performance!
In my view he had failed, given the resources and facilities at his disposal! His comments after the Semi-Final were blind in the extreme, we were poor, his team selection was wrong - Toure should never have played -there was no drive, no urgency, which he has to instil.

Undoubtedly the players have responsibility but if you continue to play someone like Bony over Iheanacho what message exactly are you sending out to the players? It is basically acceptance that players do not put a shift in.

No my frustration is against the vitriol and bile that so called blues think is ok to use against their manager. Selections/systems add them to the list if you want, I don't have an issue with that, it still amounts to a variety of reasons
He shouldn't be our manager. And luckily, he won't be soon.

Did you take issue with people slating Ball or Pearce?

Yes of course it's his bloody fault if players are strolling around. He's the fucking manager. You think Ferguson, Simeone, Klopp or Guardiola take that kind of shit?

How can it be 'All His Fault' fuck me does he step onto the pitch to play as well?
The players are every much to blame as the manager is.

For a start you've purposely misquoted me. And secondly, when the same lazy twats are picked week after week then it's only the manager to blame for picking them.

Are you new to football?

Saying that he'd rather keep his word to a player and lose rather do what's best for the club and the fans tells you all you need to know about this 'alarming man' hence we're all n a battle for fucking FOURTH for fuck's sake.

Injuries?
Players finding out Pep was coming next season?
Players past it?
Squad not refreshed in the right areas?
Poor Team selections?
Stronger league?

I suspect all of the above

Biggest two reasons injuries and an ageing squad-but hey Pellers is a c*nt, lets not forget that!

I seem to remember the exact same thing when AF said he was off. It is very hard to do anything as a manager if some of the players have switched off.

Imagine being at work and you've heard your boss has been told he's off end of the financial year for whatever reason. 3 months before he goes he tells you to work harder or your in trouble. He's not in a position to sack you (transfer window) and you know when new boss in you can work then. What do you do, you think fuck that I'll do what I want.

So yes pell has not impressed this year, but players are playing a very important part in our predicament. Why bust a gut if you think nee manager going to move you on anyway. We will know the guilty players, they won't be wearing the badge next year. Our owners are not stupid, they know who these people are.

Injuries certainly but the manager has to manage and adapt until you get your key players back,he failed in that insisting we play the exact same way despite it clearly not working with the players available,so yes it is mostly his fault

It's his job to get the most out of the team. Has he done that? I don't think so, far from it. Despite the setbacks with injuries etc we have not had the most out of what was available. The excuse that he was leaving and the players did not care to play for him anymore reflects poorly on him. B Munich won the treble when their mgr was waved goodbye for Pep. Didn't see the players downing tools then. Losing home games to almost every team in top 8 is a fucking disgrace. Don't get conned by this nice guy bullshit. We need winners not fucking "nice guys" that have the personality of a wet lettuce.

I honestly don't think he had any option for several weeks at worst. The whole Bony playing when Kelechi didn't is largely moot as Wilf only started 13 lg games.

All very good points, but why insist on picking them then?

Especially when other players had done better when given the chance?

It's not moot, that's 13 games, or nearly half a season, that he got it wrong.

What about playing Demichellis? What about insisting on a high line and no protection when he did pick him?

Persisting on using Delph on the left which has failed to work every single time and when other options were available.

Was he ever forced to play 442 with Nando and Yaya in an immobile two? No. So why then did he do it more than half a dozen times?

I suspect injuries, number of games etc. Not defending pell completely, he has made many mistakes, but players can't get a free ride.
I expect them to show today a passion not seen for a while. Fingers crossed
