The bent referee - complain.

Let us look at 2 similar incidents in the 2nd half of yesterdays match. Keivn Doyle puts his arms all over Yaya and rightly gets booked for it. However near the end of the game Kevin Richardson doses the same to Mario and the onlt thing given is a free kick. Where was the consistancy from this ref, my guess was that he decided as as this was right near the end of the game their is no point in booking him.

It is time that Mr Mike Riely took this buffoon to task and demoted him to the Blue Square Prem League for the rest of the season.

Just read the match report in the Sunday Mirror. They always have a ref report. Word for word their review of that clown yesterday said

'on top of the job and seemingly destined to be a top official'

Thought he was shocking. But we'll be on the end of other poor refereeing performances this season, particularly if we are still out in front in the second half of the season.

The ref got decisions wrong and I went mental at him at one point but from my own judgement in the stand I think the crowd actually got more wrong than the ref. There were a couple of dives from our players and a couple of fouls by our players that the ref got spot on yet the crowd went barmy at the ref. He was poor, but not that poor. It's not like he was Peter Walton!
They'd not have gone barmy at his correct decisions if he'd not got them going barmy by his bad decisions. Just baffling, some of them. None of the bookings really needed; why he felt he had to warn Dzekco I don't know, when he'd let them pull and push our players but not had to award a FK because we didn't go down, for fouls which would (should) have been yellow card offences if we had gone down.

Oh dear, nearly 24 hours later, and I'm still going barmy about it!

Cheers for you post and thanks for the forum.

might get in trouble for this, but i hope attwell dies. honestly.
Tut tut...

He was shit but then again he usually is. We won. He got the red card right. We won. The fa love him though. We won.

note to self... stop logging in to bluemoon and facebook pissed!

sorry!

I'll tell you the worst decision he made: it was the one where Micah was attacking down the right, pushed the ball forward, the guy made contact and floored Micah, the ball went out of play.

Attwell gives a goalkick. What. The. Actual. Fuck.
EITHER the Wolves player has made contact with the ball, in which case it's a corner, OR he hasn't in which case it's a foul. It literally could not have been a goalkick. Ridiculous.

Can anybody knock up a video of all of the fouls given for and against us?

Plus if Silva and Micah had dived or simulated injury, why weren't they cautioned?

Something to look out for in the coming weeks, look at the Wolves stats to see how often they only get pulled up 6 times for fouls. Also Henry the "shrinking violet" yesterday who fell to the ground every time the wind blew, see how long before he gets sent off, noted for "robust" tackles.Surprised that Mick McCarthy fielded a team of whimps, not Micks style.

Get a grip. The referee was poor, he had an off day. I myself told him he was wank a dozen
times. Quality football came through in the end.
The biggest decision of the day was the one he got right and that's without half a dozen motd replays. Poor? Yes. Corrupt? Belt up FFS!

Sending emails hither and thither. Pfft.

p.s From where I was sat Edin looked like he handballed it for the first goal. Thankfully Atwell didn't spot that either.

You shud have gone to Specsavers.

This is absolutely spot on and happens every season and is usually the difference between ourselves and the established order, however despite the usual media silence we need to show these corrupt cheats that we cannot be beaten.

The truth is hes a ref who unfortunately for him is not up to this level of football but because of his bizarre decisions will get his fifa badge and end up cocking some other countries world cup aspirations up with three cards per player etc...it usually pans out like that.

will?? He already is a FIFA listed ref!

I was at the match against Wolves, I could not believe the decisions Attwell made, I said to the people I was with just after half time he would give pen against us or send someone off. He was so predictable.

this idiot has been getting on everyones nerves for years, why does he stick at it or the powers that be condone it? this was the idiot who gave that goal at Watford some years ago that shouldnt of been allowed.

I think it's a bit much calling him "corrupt" or a "cheat", he was at worst inept and at best inconsistent.

Implying that he or the FA deliberately set out (and for money, if you take it to its logical conclusion) to not give City a few fouls is proper tinfoil hat territory. It makes us sound like scousers.

There was a comment in the Guardian that summed it up best for me, it was like he was deliberately trying to show his authority. He's a relatively young inexperienced guy who will be officiating us for years to come, I would imagine he'll be getting a session with the observer and it might do him good.
