First time I've seen that! Loved it.
Are you married with 8 kids? Haha! One of the top 10 happiest days of my life.
Remember every moment.
Without exaggeration I must have watched this vid a minimum of 500 times.
And , again, no exaggeration to say it STILL makes my whole body "goose bump" all over. And then the tears come. It's amazing. I honestly cannot imagine any event in our future, and I include winning the champions league, affect me so much.
In the space of 19 seconds from the throw in to the goal, my (our) whole life as a city fan was perfectly encapsulated. From utter , complete, life altering despair and complete tragedy, to the most euphoric, most unexpected, most unmitigated and complete, joy. All that and also the knowledge, the absolute certainty, that the city we fell in love with, that tripped us up time after time, destroying our weekends, annihilating our happiness week after week for (in my case) over 40 years was gone. Amd not only gone, but had Infact served only to make THAT moment all the sweeter.
Typical city indeed to kill you with the odd bit of hope over the years (Spurs and West Ham quarter finals), 81 cup final, promotions ("we're back") followed by relegations, some in utter slapstick ("keep it in the corner Lomas") had all been leading up to that Sergio moment. In one simple second all the hurt had meaning, and with that meaning, it disappeared, forever.
Perfect perfect moment. Perfect day. Perfect video.
Isn't it just? Simple yet powerful. I wanted to reach through my iPad and give him a big fuck off hug. Haha! That's a thing of beauty that.
