I didn't see a lack of effort or motivation tonight. Nasri for example spent the first half on our side of the pitch working his absolute socks off; trouble is, it was to no avail cos he was chasing shadows.
Manager at fault tonight in that, as Gleghorn said, we were set up a man short in midfield which was painfully obvious, from the point their keeper played the ball out from the back - and a clever and bold manager - like Jose M for example - wouldn't have waited 70 mins till 0-3 down to change, he would have done it in the first half.
However, were up against what IMHO are the worlds best team at the moment, let's get it in proportion.

That sentiment was certainly on display tonight.
The blame game is manager's stubborness not to change vis vis players not putting in a shift to at least make more of a contest of the game as if never the twain shall meet.
Notwithstanding Bayern being far more committed to playing the game that exposes our frailties no matter how we set up the reason is a combination of all these things plus a bit more.
If the set up was so poor and the players knew it why didn't they communicate with each other and do something constructive about it.
It may be left field but any AFL coach will tell you his leadership group on the park when required will take it upon themselves to rectify things if necessary.
We embarrassed ourselves and our global brand tonight but hopefully it won't set us back too much too soon.

We came out at the start of the 2n half on fire, and then conceded again. Every time we had a setback in the game we just sank to our knees
