Manager at fault tonight in that, as Gleghorn said, we were set up a man short in midfield which was painfully obvious, from the point their keeper played the ball out from the back - and a clever and bold manager - like Jose M for example - wouldn't have waited 70 mins till 0-3 down to change, he would have done it in the first half.

exactly this, anybody who has ever played football and been outplayed knows that there was no lack of effort just a vastly superior team. its like saying fighters don't try to beat floyd mayweather or 100 metre sprinters don't try against bolt. sometimes teams are just better.
