The bloke with the guitar

He's called Guitarthur, I don't think he was christened as such, it's a creative cheeky play on words - please!

It's about as cool as stepping on a dog turd and walking it into the house, no offence.

Listen, whatever people think of it, at least this fella has a go!

He is always round at the West reception pre-match and knocks out a belting little arrangement of 5 or 6 songs which I make sure that I sing myself hoarse to! I am the only one who does mind and I often get some strange looks.

I would suggest if anyone thinks they can do anything better to raise the atmosphere they do so rather than slate this bloke because we lost.

I give it my best shot. And no, it's not because we lost. I've been saying it all season, as I said if you read it. City square is fine for it, it's what it's there for. Just not on the pitch.

The club knows the fans don't like it (as 1894 group gives them feedback) so why the hell are they still persisting with it? Just makes you wonder what plans they have for next season.

I have wondered the same, all I can think of is that he is good mates with someone in the 'match day experience' department. As I say, once every now and then have him in city square to do a few songs, but he's becoming part of the furniture and definitely shouldn't be singing on the pitch.

guitarthur actually needs to fuck off. he cant even sing! I actually want to complain to city about this guy he's that shit . just cringeable !

Let's be honest and blunt about this.

The People who run the club and make these decisions aren't listening. Certainly not to the minority/majority on here. They are more interested/concerned with the majority outside and inside the stadium.

This is an idea thought up by suits at City. In their eyes it's part and parcel of the on-going and mythical matchday ecpetience, which they are constantly striving to create. *What exactly is the matchday expeience?* Anyone?

It's no longer about the indiividual supporter, it's about the family. It's a family day out now. That's where the real money is. Tickets, merchandise, and Food, X4. And as such, City will and have targeted that Market with........(fill in as appropriate)

The club reads this forum. As such it knows our(the minority or majority) views on this singer. So far the club has ignored our views and will run/go with this singer until *they decide otherwise.*

Sadly that's just the way it is now at City.

Couldn’t agree more. I go to watch games of football, not to watch some guy with a guitar sing Bluemoon. That’s why I go straight into the ground and don’t go anywhere near City Square, to avoid all that stuff. I almost feel sorry for the bloke that he goes out there and sigs it, and no one gives a shit! The club need to put him out of his misery.

As for the 'match day experience'...I don't, and don't want to know, what that is! My 'match day experience', if that's what you want to call it, is walk to ground, pint, match, home. Nothing more, nothing less. I don’t care for the rest of it!!
