You're going after the wrong man here! I've just looked when that comment was made and it was back in mid May (!) to light-heartedly welcome the first of the Morrissey entries to the competition. With your demand for retraction I wouldn't go as far as to say you have killed me but I am disappointed as I think you're missing the real villains here.

My comment has been weaponised by the dark forces who cast a black cloud over this competition, the haters led by that Antipodean fella but no doubt aided and abetted by one of your own, a fellow mod no less who doubtless unable to reconcile and embrace his own deep feelings for Mozzer has instead become ringleader of the tormentors on this thread. In the latter stages of the competition you're going to need someone on your side and I would humbly suggest it is much more likely to be me than these types whom even satan rejected their hearts. It's a shame because from what I can tell, the kiwi fella used to be a sweet boy before the fever of this competition gripped him. In fairness he is the heir apparent should you fail from top spot so it is understandable.
But do not fall into the trap set by certain people I know who seek to divide the Smiths/Morrissey vote.

Anyway, minor spats apart I hope we can all continue our frank discussions about what we do or don't like in each match-up :-)

That's the thing about this forum. You need to hold on to your friends, but I've noticed that since I went to the top of the charts in this poll, it's clear that some members hate it when their friend becomes successful.....
I'm off work today so going to watch the game but spend the day in bed
