Radiohead are the 2nd greatest band in the world behind The Smiths, easy choice
Well given that there is no room in there for Crowded House, Midnight Oil and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, then he clearly can't be :)
To be fair, when you throw a rock at a hornet's nest and piss in a gorilla's mouth ("Radiohead the 2nd greatest band in the world behind the Smiths"), expect angry hornets and an infuriated gorilla.Tough crowd in here this morning, is it pension day?
I get some people just don't have the sophistication and appreciation for good music, without The Smiths, Radiohead, James, The Housemartins and Bowie the world would be very poor indeedTo be fair, when you throw a rock at a hornet's nest ("Radiohead the 2nd greatest band in the world"), expect hornets.
While most of my selections have been nailed to date albeit in some cases by some good songs I do trust perhaps hope more it seems that the songs that I really admire for a variety of sound reasons that have got through will go very deep into the Cup but if past history is any guide I think I will be disappointed. There are a number of Bowie songs that I would have above Free Fallin but that was certainly not one of them.I get why Rafferty beat Refugee, but a pedestrian Bowie effort beating Free Fallin' was sad.
