Benny you are a bit more pithy in your responses than me.

There are plenty of classics that most people wouldn’t vote for in a month of Sundays.I suspect if more people thought of them as true classics, then they would have progressed.
Yep. There are plenty on here who would class a particular song in the last 20 as a classic. They'll vote for it, and it'll probably win. No prizes for guessing which it will likely be. I'd rather watch Piers Morgan reciting the London phone book than listen to it.There are plenty of classics that most people wouldn’t vote for in a month of Sundays.
I guess it depends what qualifies a piece of music as a classic. There are plenty of classics that most people wouldn’t vote for in a month of Sundays.
Cheer up Jim ffs! It's the weekend!Yep. There are plenty on here who would class a particular song in the last 20 as a classic. They'll vote for it, and it'll probably win. There absolutely is objectively terrible music, as there is terrible art and terrible food. Somebody liking terrible things doesn’t change the fact that they’re terrible. The collective makes this determination on an evolutionary basis over time. But we each have the freedom to like terrible things anyhow. This distinction is important I believe.I guess it depends what qualifies a piece of music as a classic.
Ultimately there is no good or bad music. Just music and individual preferences.
Undeniable.............There absolutely is objectively terrible music, as there is terrible art and terrible food. Somebody liking terrible things doesn’t change the fact that they’re terrible.
