The advert pop was part of the problem, he signed so many licencing deals to flog so much stuff you couldn't get away from him. It was more like he was a bloody advertising agency than a musician.
This is a not-unfair point, but even that commercialism was an intriguing double-edged sword. Moby continues to be a fascinating character.

I get that , but never understood why that bothers people much.

An Artist flogging their songs to adverts doesn’t make the songs suddenly bad.

That Kate Bush track is one rotten racket.
I never got Kate Bush (sorry @Saddleworth2 ) her music always sounds like it should be in an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, and stage show music to me is akin to watching Eastenders.
Gone for the Moby track.
