No, When they joined up with Fleetwood Mac, I heard they were a couple from America.
Those days it was Radio Luxembourg and vinyl CDs. Not sure when I saw them on tv.
Can't recall when I found out that Stevie Nicks was not of the same sex as Stevie Wonder and Stevie Winwood and Lyndsey Buckingham was not a Lyndsey de Paul.

I do remember Elton John marrying a woman at some stage too.
