After hearing both original songs, I'll give a nod to Bronski Beat's interpretation in taking a 1961 2 minute 'death dittie' and turning it into 6 minutes with the help of Donna Summer. And unlike John Leyton, Bronski Beat didn't need to bring on a female singer to hit those notes.

My wife is still a fan of that song/group from the 80's when I first heard it, so the assist is in. Plus I wouldn't want Rob to think I always simply vote for that face painter. ;-)
