Cheers mate, its great when i get feedback especially on the funny things and times of being a blue.x

Congratulations Cooper. Im 15 and I want to get this book, is it suitable for my age? I dont mean the drug refrences, I mean the story line, will I get it? Thanks and good luck :)

Just got past half way of reading this book. Great read up to now Simon.

I can relate to most things you have said. You mentioned the congregation of City fans in the overdraft club in town after that Leeds game. It was a mad day out. We got a ticket outside Maine Road and went down and it was bedlam in there. That comedian got slaughtered from the 1st minute. Even though its obvious now i understand why you sent the whole place out looking for United. It was manic though my mate got arrested and i had to jump over a 6ft wall to get away from the police. They were arresting everyone, one lad kicked a woman copper and the police just nicked whoever.

Great read on amateur football. I have had to give up playing Sundays after breaking my Tib, Fib and dislocating my ankle a few years back. I played in the Tameside League for a few years and then in the Hyde league. We played a few finals at Ashton United, my first one i was nearly in tears after getting beat. It was like playing at Wembley for us with about 300 people watching and the emotions got the better of me after putting everything on the line to try and win the game. With you coming from Failsworth you must know a team who are called Nelson Tavern from the Limeside district? We had a few battle's with them for a few seasons at the top of the league. They had a few of the Edghill's playing for them (Richard Edghill's family). I remember it being a bit of an intimidating place to play, playing on the pitch in Limeside with about 50 lads shouting abuse and spitting at you taking throw in's etc..... Good times though part and parcel of playing Sundays.

Pezzer i know the Nelson FC team well my mate Scott played in net for them and yes your right the Edghill brothers did play for them. Thanks for your feedback mate it means a lot and i enjoy the fact that peopl understand this is not a hooligan book, but just a story about the power of football and how our lives evolve around it.
Cheers Pal! It means a lot.
