What weight,154 ?

Beatimg the shell of Khan doesn’t really give us a yardstick as to how ready or not Brook is to face a live opponent. His timing was awful, his balance was awful, we don’t know how his punch resistance was as he barely took a proper shot. At 147 he’s a shell, even overhyped overprotected Benn would make easy work of him.

Up at 154 he maybe could fight Liam Smith which would be a great trade fight but I don’t think it’d do PPV numbers and I think Smith would break him down pretty quickly.

If Kell wants PPV money he goes through with the Eubank farce and let’s a man who fairly recently fought at 168 walk right through him and do him serious damage.

I hope he retires.
Well there is 3 fights I would love to see for Kell next fight either Mikey Garcia or Keith Thurman a win over either of these will get a World title fight. Or a more realistic fight would be David Avanesyan if he wins his fight next month. Kell wont be in another PPV fight until its a world title fight or a fight with Eubank Jnr which he will be advised against. As you said he needs to be tested for punch resistance.

Good shout about Mikey - I think of the 3 you mention he would be best for Kell - much smaller man naturally and also on the decline but it’d take mega bucks to get him over here.

The best pound for pound British fighter is fighting this weekend. Josh Taylor the best fighter in years and years to come out of Scotland. The Saturday night should be a straight forward fight for him. On the card is a few Irish fighters. Kurt Walker making his pro debut good am fighter be interested to see him developing. Also Paddy Donovan the lads got a good few KOs already in his 7 fights. And Eric Donovan getting on in years now at 36 but is technically a top class fighter. He would of been in the Irish am set up with the likes of Carl Frampton , Mick Conolan and Paddy Barnes for years. Hes fighting a Cuban fighter will be more than likely the most competitive fight on the card. I will be glued to the tv for this weekends fights.

Alvarez v Bivol 4th May. I can't see Bivol winning on points unless he gets a few 10-8s in, and all his last 6 have gone to the judges so it is hard to get too excited about it.

He holds four belts and has created history but because he is not an heavyweight and he is quiet he goes unnoticed . Your right about him being the best British fighter atm

If he moves up and wins a belt at the next weight he will be the greatest Scot of all time if not British for me. Terrance Crawford is the main man next weight up if my memory is correct. Imagine that fight the best the weight below against Crawford a great fight on paper for me

Catterall is also very good tbf and definitely a live opponent, but Taylor has operated in a different class altogether and should have too much for him. That said it could be closer than many expect. Either that or a second round blowout!
