The Boxing thread

Great by Beterbiev who was very accurate and relentless, but probably has one fight left before he needs to retire, and hopefully goes out on a high. Hate to see him going out like Adonis, and he can't keep up those performances for much longer.

I agree mate . ATM he will get beat but Father Time will catch up with in the end . Love to see the Bivol fight which would be a super fight but can’t see Bivol winning either .

Joshua V Ngannou confirmed.

Some time in March (Friday 8th suggested), in Saudi Arabia.

I respect Joshua's hustle, but he ain't winning that fight.

Just no way.

Fucking farce - nothing against the lad that floored Fury but he never earnt the opportunity to be in the ring with the Heavyweight Champion of the World.

How many fighters has he skipped ahead of that have dedicated their careers to boxing?

It appears nobody is looking at the bigger picture here.............

What "bigger picture"?

Ngannou got the nerves out of the way in that Fury fight. He had been at the very top of the game in heavyweight MMA, undefeated and started out with a boxing skill set before transitioning to MMA.

He's just going back to his first love, is all.

The fact he made a mug of the current 'world champion' is what put him in this position. Remember, loads on the BM site said he'd never get a top flight shot again, but I disagreed and here he is.

Anthony Joshua's slow, cumbersome style is made for Ngannou and, unfortunately, it's going to end in a KO for Joshua.

Jonas got away with that big time. I had Mayer up by at least 2 rounds if not more. It's so bad that 1 judge gave Jonas by 2 rounds no way she won by that amount.

Nice to see McKenna getting a stoppage win hopefully he gets a big fight soon. No one wants to fight him.

I had Mayer winning that around 6 rounds to 4, maybe even 7 rounds to 3.

I feel for Mayer, I think she beat Baumgardner and didn't get the nod but it was close.

She definitely won tonight and got cheated by a hometown decision.

I still think he needs a few fights at a decent level before talking about fighting Janibek like he's taking about. He would get stretched by him anytime soon. McKenna has only done one 10 rounder.

Shane Mosley Jr would be a good fight for him. He's a name (originally because of his old man) been improving, on a decent run of form since beating Rosado. He's in the top 10 in all the governing bodies too, McKenna isn't in any of their top 15 yet. I think it's a very winnable fight for him and would get likely him ranked in the governing bodies.
