I disagree, if he thought Bellew vs Cleverley was PPV standard then im certain he would stick Murray vs DeGale on, besides I still dont get how Brook vs Gavin topped that bill when the Selby and Mitchell fights were much bigger but I guess its not that important really. Im fed up with Eddie taking the punters for mugs, im gobsmacked he hasnt tried to stick the July 18th show on PPV aswell, but yes its easily the best none ppv show he has put on for a long time so fairplay to him for that.
I cant see Murray getting anywhere near beating De Gale by the way, he went in with a shot Martinez and hid behind his clamshell defence without throwing enough shots, drew with Sturm, which I thought he won though. De Gale is underrated in this country because hes a massive nobhead I think. Classy boxer, beat Groves the first time in my eyes and would do the same again this time round but it wouldnt be anywhere near as close.
Ell thats were we would differ regarding DeGale he is a lazy lad and makes things hard for himself. Against Dirrel he won well but the fight was close apart from a shocking second round it was a close fight DeGale went into his shell and won by 2 points on 2 of the judges cards. I think against Groves DeGale is lacking George has the edge over him. Has boxed the better fighters so unlucky not to beat Froch in there first fight he was robbed I think George is the better suited to the pro game compared to DeGale.
As for the PPVs gone in the past yes I argee the Bellew v Cleverley fight shouldnt of been PPV headliner. But if i am correct I think there was a world title fight on that card if not 2 with McDonald and Quigg on it in gimme fights. I think with Hearn he is getting the best out of his fighters and he will test the fighters he believes in and will protect the others he isnt sure on.
The fighters that Hearn is fully behind and is testing them are DeGale ,Jamie McDonald , Kell Brook and to some extent now Lee Selby who is the most talented boxer that Hearn has on his hands so good that lad i rate him highly.
Then you got the protect guys in Quigg , Cleverley and Bellew to some extent. He knows that he has to protect these guys now until they get the big fights. Either of them is a defeat away from going out in my opinion 1 lost for all 3 and it would be a long road back to fighting for the big titles. Kiko v Quigg is huge if Scot wins that fight it will open up a lot of doors. If Scot preforms poorly he will be protected more and more if he crawls accross the line with a points win. IF Scot loses then they will have to rebuild maybe move him up in weight who knows. Seems big at the weight to me. Time will tell on everything I just hope that the big British fights get made in the next year or so.
