Decent effort by Kell but never thought Spence was in any trouble, he soaked up the pressure and showed his class. Not seen him have a bad fight. This kids going places brilliant boxer.
An exceptional performance from spence, slick.... brook my have to retire with the eye troubles

what a wanker. brook could go blind taking shots yet he says he should carry on. Kell says his eye started playing up in the 7th which I do believe because he wasn't the same after that round. I had him 4-2 up before that. brook really should retire, good chance he can go permanently blind in that eye if he carries on. GGG ended his career.Bellew scathing there at the way kell gave it up.
Just nipping off to give my flagpole a quick polish.
I thought you may approve :-)Just nipping off to give my flagpole a quick polish.
We will have to wonder if Kell would have lost the fight had he not sustained the eye injury in a fight that was taken for the money. I don't think he even expected to win nor did Khan realistically in his money fight, they both took them fights because it was big money and a loss wouldn't hurt their career. I'm not sure whether he would have won though to be honest the second half of the fight Spence started to overpower him, I don't even think it was necessarily the body shots he was just roughing him up on the inside there were headshots and bodyshots going in there and Brook didn't like those exchanges on the inside one bit.
It might not have been the same eye but psychologically it beat him he couldn't leave it alone from the 7th round onwards(probably made it worse rubbing it constantly), he was probably thinking "It's happened again, my other eye's gone now" when he took that knee. Like I said though Spence started to overpower him in the second half of the fight regardless of the eye, he may have still won by TKO or had a few more knock-downs and won on points. It was his other eye this fight though so can't blame his fight with GGG. He just seems to have a weakness around his eyes and fighters are exploiting it.
Says the tough guy behind a computer.Special my arse. Pussied out there, his eye doesn't look closed up.
