Going by reports I got from Framptons and this guy is always bang on for info its all good. The sessions and the guys they got in for this have all been great. Carls been just hitting his peak and the sessions and this training camp has been great. Not cutting the weight to Super Bamtamweight has been key and he is on weight and will make it easy. He will get to rehydrate more at this and his power is good he was lacking the power in his last 2 fights at Super Bamtamweight. The whole team are confident big time. LSCs Dad wont be in his corner for the fight. They think when it goes into the trenches which it will do Leo may well be found wanting. Carl wants to be a 2 weight Irish boxing champion. Just like Steve Collins did back in the day Frampton wants to be the next Irish fighter to do that. He is so focused and going in as the underdog is playing into his hands no pressure as some think LSC is nailed on to win by ko or points.
 
Can't see Carl beating Santa Cruz. Can see him on his arse at some point. Just not been impressed with Carl since the first Martinez fight. Would like to see him do it though.

Crawford was good again, but the fight was poor. Was looking forward to that fight as well. Expected more from Postol really.

The fundamental flaws with Watt.
No.1) He picks a winner before the opening bell. He then spends the rest of the fight praising his choice and being over critical in the loser. That way he looks like a genius when it goes right, and if it goes wrong he talks up how well his choice fought.

No.2) No analytical insight given, just tells me what my eyes are seeing and not an experts opinion. I know.my boxing but he has forgotten more than I will know, but he isnt able to articulate so. Same as Johnny Nelson and Mcrory, their views pre fight are 'the winner will be who wants it more', what a cop out of a remark.

No.3) Watt has an awful habit of being biased to Sky fighters, I have no stock in brown nosers.


To close, he has had a sound career. He was a Champion when being one actually meant something. All the best to him, one Scotlands best ever fighters. He has the career Buchanan should have had outside the ring. But he had the wisdom and self discipline not to go to the wall like Buchanan and others.

Agree with this. We are miles behind American Sports when it comes to coverage I think. I am into basketball a lot and the coverage on ESPN with all the talk shows, documentaries and coverage is just miles better than what we get with the footy. Just much more knowledgeable but also much more laid back. It just comes across much better.

Won't miss listening to Jim Watt at all. Bang on tha chan.

Is Crawford not being lined up to fight Manny Pacquiao next?? I heard rumours about that fight. Yeah 147 has some good fighters said it before about a Super 6 for that division. You look at who is there the fights would be great.

Also this weekends Sky card is a really good 1.
Frankie Gavin back again. He out of all the ams is the biggest let down. I thought he was destined to be a World Champion might still happen but might have to drop a division I rate him so highly.
Sam Eggington , Ryan Burnett future World Champion the lad is going to clean up the Bamtamweight division and move on up has the ability to be the greatest Irish fighter of all time. Luke Campbell and Dillian Whyte should all win there fights at ease. The big 2 fights of Tyrone Nurse v Tommy Coyle and Warrington v Hyland they will be wars.

Yeah there's been talk of Manny but not sure it will happen, be great if it did. Would like to Crawford v Spence if he does move up, that would make a great fight.

Great line up on Sky sat night, hopefully be able to pick it up on a tablet. We're at the NYC game while the fights on. Hope Hyland beats Warrington he's every chance. Can't wait for the main event, Steve Lillis said it's the best arena he's watched boxing.
 
Hyland has every chance. I just think he needs to win every round big. Hyland still works a working week he aint full time. To see him go as far as he did in boxing for a World title is some going. I hope he wins his family is a huge boxing family and it would be great to see Irish eyes smiling if he beats Warrington and he gets the Selby fight or a fight with Frampton be good.
