So Kell's manager says look we can get you on ITV and pay cheque of £50k or we can get you on PPV and get you £500k. What do you think he would want to do

The average sports fan wont pay money for a fight from the US with Brook v Alexander. Its madness Sky have got rid of PPV and thats the way it will stay until the recession is over in my view as the numbers werent adding up. Kell's next fight for the title will more than likely be in the US aswell so its going to be a hard sell to most people.
Out of the fighters out there Kell might well be PPV standard but not yet in my view. Just cant see PPVs on sky for a while yet.

When did Sky get rif of PPV? The only reason they dont have it is because they dont have anyone decent to show. If Haye had a a fight with Klischko I would bet my house it would be on Sky PPV
I think it could well main event a show. Its a proper World title but it wont be down to Kell it would more so be down to Devon Alexander. Also Devon Alexander is a Golden Boy Fighter and he could headline a Golden Boy card in my opinion against Kell. I think Golden Boy will watch Kell closely with him being lined up to fight Khan too in the future.Lost Pilot said:You think that fight would be a main event or undercard in the states leigton?

I am almost certain it was after the Haye v Harrison fight that sky were looking at PPV as a no go anymore. Then Haye got his Vitali fight which was the last PPV fight. I have got to give Haye credit. He was great at selling a PPV fight. He would be all over tv promoting the fight in the lead up to the fights Haye earner every single penny from his PPV time.
The thing with Sky which fucked them over Warren. He was a **** for PPVs. When Warren went back to Sky from ITV he had Khan on a PPV deal for Sky in his first fight he lost to Prescott. Then Warren was trying to push fighters not PPV standard in my view. So a mixture of Warren / Khan and even the Harrison fight has killed PPV. Look at the best pound for pound in the UK the number 1 fighter Carl Froch has never headlined a Sky PPV.

Carson Jones was supposed to be cannon fodder for Brook aswell but he made a right meal out of it. His last fight was also against a complete unknown, who was only marginally credible because he had a decent KO ratio against complete nobodies.

True but boxing is now seeing the UFC as a rival now and your seeing more and more high profile fights being made or trying to be made now.
I know with matchroom. Look at the fights the Hearns are making for some of there fighters they are testing them in big time compared to Frank Maloney , Frank Warren and other UK promotors. I look at Frampton , Bellew and Brook and all 3 have been pushed on great by Matchroom. Thats what boxing needs is 50-50 fights.
Also I look at the Super 6 last year that was great for boxing and I can see it happening again. UFC is good but I just dont think it will over take boxing for a long time in my view.
