I think so mate as I thought porter beat Spence . Crawford Is the real deal in my eyes and I can’t see anyone getting near him at the moment .crawford to beat Spence ?
He’s moved up a division & unified it within 12 months by beating 3 undefeated boxers with a combined record of 78-0, why does he need to fight Andrade or anyone else at middleweight when he’s already unified that division? That just makes no sense at allCallum Smith was less than a match, Saunders was decent, and plant was never going to trouble him.
GGG is past his prime no doubt however there are still question marks there, I think he should put those to rest before GGG is over the hill.
Andrade is the test. Why hasn't this fight happened?
You have high standards!!! He’s won 16 titles across 4 weights & beaten 17 former world champions. I don’t think there’s many fighters in history with a better record!!Well this was my point though. I think it's been misinterpreted (and will continue to be likely..) but I'm not arguing against Canelo being a great fighter. I've stated in BOTH my posts that I think he's likely the best on the planet right now. His ability to combine persistent aggression with complete evasiveness has a sight to behold the past 3 years.
But the original question was whether he's an all time great. Mayweather was an all time great. I just don't put Canelo in that same bracket with him. That's it. No mas.
I’d say so.crawford to beat Spence ?
Who's Makubu? ;) Makabu is Martin Bakole's older brother FYI and it's all but confirmed. Canelo has only had one fight at Light HW (in 2019) and has been campaigning at Super Middleweight for the last 12 months.Depends who he fights at cruiser . If he fights Makubu who bellew destroyed then he is picking the easy option . He needs to stay at light heavy and go for Bivol or beterbiev which he won’t . Canelo is a great fighter but boy has he been well looked after in his career . And another thing that pisses me off is people that say triple g isn’t on near canelo as an over the hill golovkin still went toe to toe with a prime canelo and in many eyes won the fights .
I agree cruiser is piss poor atm but I do believe canelo has been week looked after during his career but that Is my opinion as for canelo maybe he will go down as an atg but he will always be tainted by biased judging decisions and also the tainted meat scandal . It pisses me off that triple g was blatantly robbed in that first fight .Who's Makubu? ;) Makabu is Martin Bakole's older brother FYI and it's all but confirmed. Canelo has only had one fight at Light HW (in 2019) and has been campaigning at Super Middleweight for the last 12 months.
I pretty much covered all of what you wrote already in various posts. Simply put, I disagree with most of that, especially if there's any notion that Canelo is avoiding anyone. They are all avoiding each other, while waiting for Canelo to take all the risks, so they can have their payday. I could go through who should fight who, there's so many good fights to be made but bar Andrade and Benavidez, none of them want to take any risks of their own. Meanwhile Canelo has fought 4 times in 11 months, beat 3 undefeated world champions after moving up weights, without a catchweight in sight. He's been giving himself "short notice", fighting that often, by some people's standards.
Anyway back on topic.
Canelo said he doesn't think he can make 200lbs and is aiming for 180lbs. Makabu insisted there will no catchweight in the contract, forcing him to drop weight. That would be a 2 stone weight advantage, Makabu also says he thinks Canelo is making a big mistake(predicts he will knock him out).
Is Makabu an amazing cruiserweight? No.
Is he a shit one? No.
It's not an easy fight for anyone moving up, anywhere from middleweight to light heavyweight. If it was, why haven't any of the other names moved up and become multi-weight world champions? Other than they don't want to risk getting knocked out...
He is still the 2nd highest rated cruiserweight by most rankings, well he was, when I first wrote that. He's moved down one place with Boxrec, after Dorticos' win at the weekend bumped him up. The Ring still have him as their number 2 for now. That doesn't really change much, of the belt holders, he's the number 2 in the division. If there's no belt, there's not much point to it. I really don't think people understand that, or that Canelo has earned the right to choose what he wants and in which order, for his legacy now. He might be thinking it's now or never, to try and win a title at Cruiserweight. He'll then go down to Light HW, after fighting Makabu, most likely(makes sense to me).
As for Bellew, lets not forget, Bellew is 6ft 3. Those are decent proportions, for a fighter moving up from Light Heavy to Cruiserweight. Bellew had a height and weight advantage on Makabu but he was still floored in the first round of that fight. Which proves what I'm saying perfectly, the guy is a decent puncher(25kos from 28 fights says it too). Bellew beat Makabu by knockout, other than his debut, he's not lost before or since then and he has improved. The only Cruiserweight champion ranked above Makabu is Mairis Briedis who has the IBF. I'm not sure the IBF would be so willing to accommodate moves like this, as the WBC and WBO seem to be. Even if it was Briedis, the excuse would then be "ah he's 36, he picked the 'old man'...Typical Canelo see". It's all so predictable, which is why I have no time for the twitter style faux outrage.
Khan v Brook... Predictions anyone?
Are sky taking the piss putting it on box officeI just watched some of the press conference which the microphones kept cutting out. Then they cut it and apologised because Khan said shit. I honestly thought both boxers had retired, two has beens looking for one last big pay day is my view on it
Box office? wtf. Some cheek that is. As @paulchapo say's i thought they had retired ages ago. Shameless cash grab sticking this on ppv. I probably won't even watch it for free being a casual fan and not a die hard. This feels like it should be the main event on one of the weekly boxing events sky have on, certainly does not feel like box office stuff. Are sky taking the piss putting it on box office

Yes they are, but know there's enough people that buy into their propaganda productions. Are sky taking the piss putting it on box office
