The brilliant Professor Brian Cox (Ex DReam)

For a surprise 70th birthday present for my wife we spent 2 nights away in York last week and I managed to purchase tickets for the outstanding Physicist Professor Brian Cox at The Barbican.
WOW what a brilliant show with a screen larger than a cinema one, and the pictures and videos of our Universe was breathtaking.
Great talk about our Planet with our other Planets, Black Holes,The Sun, The Solar System, just about everything and he certainly came across as a very down to earth person. Well he would be ... seeing he studied at Manchester University.
For any of you out there who enjoy the mysteries of the Universe then a well worth experience and he`s touring all over the UK for most of this year.
Highly, highly recommended.
Was it all very complex, or would us thicko’s be able to understand it Oakie?

Did he talk about Aliens? Or the chance of life on other planets?

He knows his stuff I'll give him that and I find the whole debate about the planets and the solar system absolutely fascinating.
Yes he spoke for sometime ref possible life on other planets. As he said there are millions of unknown planets outside of our Solar System.

It was very in depth but we had some slight knowledge as we watch most of the Universe programmes on Sky. Some went over most heads but overall you could gain some knowledge from stuff we know so very little about.
He started by asking if there were any Mathematic Geniuses in the audience ? The room fell quiet > And then he announced "Good I can talk about any old shit then".

Was Robin Ince with him, when I've seen him he adds a bit of comic relief and asks the questions we are all thinking.
