Charles and his eldest son can veto any legislation that touches their interests.

Parliament is not allowed, by convention, to debate the monarchy and its antics.

These are just two things that should be abolished.


I'd like to see the monarchy purely ceremonial, couldn't disagree with what you propose.

Ohh, and the list needs thinning out a lot.

I suppose it depends on exactly what you mean by 'free country'. See also 'democracy'.
The literal definition of democracy is "people rule"; in other words, every member of a state has equal right to rule. A foundational tenet of any democracy is that all members of a state or society are bound to the same laws, societal, and socioeconomic obligations; in other words, nobody is above the law. Given neither of those ring true for the UK, it's fair to say we don't live in a true democracy. It's illusory.
