I'd like to see the monarchy purely ceremonial, couldn't disagree with what you propose.

I just think about the decade and a half of austerity the average citizen endured when their nations wealth sitting under one family. But you’re right “free country” is a pretty general term…

The literal definition of democracy is "people rule"; in other words, every member of a state has equal right to rule. A foundational tenet of any democracy is that all members of a state or society are bound to the same laws, societal, and socioeconomic obligations; in other words, nobody is above the law. Given neither of those ring true for the UK, it's fair to say we don't live in a true democracy. It's illusory.

Aren’t these lot meant to “unite the country”???? Nothing on the poor kids killed in Southport. Nothing on the ridiculous riots happening across the country.

What is the purpose of them exactly? More interested in serving themselves than the people of this country.
