I saw very little of the Coronation as I was sent to find a shop that was open because we ran out of milk and biscuits for the neighbours!!
I’ve kept quiet mostly on the threads about the Royal Family but only because, although I admired and respected the Queen and Princess Anne I was/am rather indifferent to the rest of them.
However I read this today:
“We may hold different points of view but it is in times of stress and difficulty that we most need to remember that we have much more in common than we have dividing us.” A quote from Lizzie herself. (Not disrespectful just what we always affectionately referred to her at home) :-)
I have mostly found that people are a mixture of good and bad. After all if we were all perfect we would have nothing to strive for. :-) :-)

Not me …. mind you I guess I’m not a sweet old lady I shout at football matches…There's thousands of sweet kind hearted old ladies who if you told them they would need to give up this years cold winter payment to fund the Queens funeral would happily do so and that's what makes me sad when we get into just what the monarchy exists for and how it's done a real good job on us all.
