The Captain on ticket prices

An honest, informed opinion yes but not necessarily one which would be endorsed by the board.
I hope this is not indicative of growing gulf between club and captain.
You talk as if the club would care. Far too many people putting far too much importance on this Captain thing. Even the thread title indicates some form of importance to the role. I'd be stunned if the club cared what he thought, as at the end of the day he's an employee.

It's the 'die hard' fans who leave early. Tourists stay to make the most of it.

Good point. Hopefully some kind of rebate or discount will be factored-in to the renewals prices for those that have to leave a bit earlier due to extenuating circumstances, or the traffic.

I wonder if the time has come to get Garry Cook back on board. He was one of the exec management team that seemed to be connected to the supporters views and might be able to build a few bridges.

The club will recognise Vincent's importance unlike some fans who don't seem to be able to grasp it.

Yeah right. Grasp what? Now if he was on the executive board with a say in things then fine, but I don't think he is, otherwise we wouldn't be getting silly ticket prices. I've no doubt Kompany has thought this for a while, and may even have mentioned it, but if you think he's got sway over the decision makers, then fine for you, but I don't for a second think he does. The club could raise prices of season tickets by 10% the coming season and still sell them - that's what matters to those who make the decisions.

Oh, and I'd rather 'the Captain' be sticking his boot up the players arses come game day - as far as I'm concerned that's his job, not negotiating ticket prices.

His so-called importance is of limited interest to the club in a season of so many injuries.
Can you really see Pep putting up with our best central defender being out half the time? VK isn't City 2016, he may have been pure City in the past, but not when he's in the treatment room.

I was referring to the captains role being important in a general sense rather than him having sway over ticket prices. I think we're lucky enough to have one of the best in the business.

Well Vincent, what about you and the rest of the players take a 10% pay cut,. Let's call it a solidarity payment
25 players earning on average £80k per week = £104M
That'll be over ten million pounds subsidising cheaper tickets
Doing the maths on league fixtures, that's £10 per ticket on 50,000 tickets
