The Carlos Tevez Thread (Merged)

Re: Would you like Carlos to stay?

He's a great player, ill advised, maybe ? hes got all the skills to light up our team , the movement between him Nasri, silva and kun was magic last night, find it very hard to forgive him, his golf has'nt improved he's still a shanker !

Re: Would you like Carlos to stay?

I think the majority of people agree that a lot of what Tvez says and does is influenced by outside parties. If that continues then its too much of a risk keeping him.
However, if he wants to stay and put things right and the club are satisfied that further problems are unlikely then I wouldnt have a problem with him staying now.
I think we have to consider how much we would get for him and consider what his value is to us on the pitch (if fully fit) and also the fact that we would have to replace him.
Bearing in mind its likely we will have to replace Dzeko and Balotelli, its probably worth a risk keeping him if the above criterea is satisfied.
Key thing is he doesnt let us down on the pitch.

You presume wrongly, I just didn't bother giving him a standing ovation when he was subbed.

OK you were in a minority then, jolly good
Yes, I'm still puzzled as to why so many City fans were creaming themselves over a player who pissed off to Argentina for 5 months. Doing his job on the pitch for a few games is the least we should expect of him, I can't see that it deserves a standing ovation.

He got his standing ovation for his efforts on the game, simple as that,he contributed, scored and generally did OK mate

Like it or not football fans are fickle as fuck, including me and you,but I am 41 now,and want whats best for the team/club,and if it means him contributing, and contributing well, then I am happy.

Things will change in the summer as I have already said, couldnt care less as to what or where he has been,we didnt suffer that much whilst he was gone to be fair, but this final push we need he could be a big player for us,a lot more than Mario or Edin, and thats what is important.

Let's keep him onside for the last 5 games then say bye bye

Straw poll.

Yes, we all know what has happened in the past, no point raking over old ground, but if he expressed a GENUINE desire to stay and see his contract out, how would you feel?

not a chance

and he can't and won't express anything genuine except his
GENUINE LOVE OF MONEY!

Re: Would you like Carlos to stay?

I would love to see him pull up his socks and work hard for the team. He's an excellent player but the trust has gone so I wouldn't be gutted of he went. Can we manage without him? I think so.

Re: Would you like Carlos to stay?

no, he isnt loyal enough to be a city player, pure and simple

And to the blind, you really think he wouldnt do the same again? Of course he would.

Re: Would you like Carlos to stay?

No, amazing player but i think it's best for both parties to seperate. We obviously need to find a replacement which i hope will be Higuan.
