Totally disagree. Our deafening silence is being interpreted as confusion ,and lack of direction. We are being laughed at universally and being ridiculed by the lunatic actions of one of our 'employees'.. We are hoping the fire will just burn itself out rather than dealing with it at the outset. Others thinking of joining this great club could only be underwhelmed.
who the fuck is laughing at us,nobody,

you think we should to blurt out anything, dont be silly,

calm and calculated
let them scream and shout like a naughty 3 year old in the supermarket, once they've finished calmly tell them whats what, people will respect us more than going off on one

Sorry pall but I was out last night with a gang of lads who support teams nation wide and they thought it very funny. And was typical City
I would laugh along with them, the whole thing is so laughable.

Yaya's agent is been laughed at and, by assoication, so is Yaya but NOT the club.

Also, you have NO idea what the Club is doing behind the scenes.

It's the pre World Cup silly season. The only people being laughed at are Yaya and his agent. Unfortunately having prima donna superstars goes with the territory of being a top club and we as fans will have to learn to deal with it. Releasing a statement now would just fuel the fire even further when the situation will not be resolved anyway until after the World Cup.

I think secretly some people yearn for the Swales/Lee era to return when every little thing that went on inside the club was released in to the public domain.

Exactly..I am sure 'behind the scenes' a lot is going on ...A simple statement to clarify the position would choke off endless speculation...
Oh & if some bird on local BBC News grinning and leaving a cake outside the Etihad gates isn't making the club look like a comedy outfit just read the mainstream media & worldwide news.

If fans got their way MCFC would be putting a "statement" our every week.

One isn't needed. The situation is still playing out.

No one is laughing at City apart from in the minds of paranoid fans. We are the champions of England.

They can laugh all they like, I really couldn't care less.

Why should the Club comment on everything? They are under no obligation whatsoever. How far do you take it?

"Some of us aren't happy with Season Ticket hikes, any comment?"
"My half-time brew has gone up 20p, any comment?"

A couple of bellends giving you grief in the pub does not equate to "universal ridicule" and I would love to know the extent of, "Our deafening silence is being interpreted as confusion ,and lack of direction."

If the BBC want to make a fool of themselves by pathetically delivering a cake then let them. Not really comedy gold is it?

Adjust your tampon and grow a pair FFS.

After yesterdays debacle, I woke up this morning dreading confronting the papers, radio and SSN, thinking it would be full of ridicule for City, an ideal opportunity for them to take the gloss off our season.

Bloody hell how wrong was I!! No-one is taking the piss out of City - without exception the ridicule is heaped on Yaya and his sidekick, just as it should be.

The City PR team dont have to do anything, City will be dealing with this internally, as they should be, leaving Yaya, quite frankly looking like a spoilt pampered dick.

Which is a shame really, as he is and always will be a City legend.

That's the irony of this daft thread.

The club's long term media strategy is clearly starting to pay significant dividends. We got a lot of support over FFP, our title win was surrounded by coverage of the infrastructure and the youth, we don't get leaks and no one calls us the club of mercenaries any more. If the club had behaved in the way that the clueless fans had wanted "Ban him/ban them/issue a statement/tell them to fuck off" then this would not be happening.

We have played the long game and our media strategy has been very good and clearly reflective of the way Abu Dhabi want the club to behave and be perceived.

City haven't done anything wrong.

The only two who look bad are Yaya and his agent - they look like absolute idiots.

Yaya is a 31 year old man moaning about not getting a birthday card from his employer.
Spot on mate - they have been made to look like a couple of complete buffoons!
