Oak View CEO is now saying the delays are caused by rain.

A gig at Victoria Warehouse was cancelled because of the rain the other day. Says a lot about infrastructure if we can't handle rain in Manchester!

Apparently quite a few nostalgia bands mime nowadays, these guys are 80ish and can't sing much anymore.

If I was paying big bucks to see them I'd want to know if they were actually playing "live"

I saw Frankie Valli a few years ago at the AO and I just knew he was miming.. there was no way he could sound that good at 83 at the time (90 now).. I suppose you're still getting to see the real star in person but singing is a young person's game and it's natural they can't hit those notes any more. Same with Kiss last year, they're in their 70s and weren't great singers in their hey day.. it was pretty obvious they were using backing tracks.

Should be fine, it’ll be evening games when both sets of fans are arriving at the same time when it’s going to be chaos.

The likelihood on Sunday is that some will be inside when we all leave at about 6:45pm and the rest will be in a queue.

Went to watch The Black Keys on Wednesday night. The venue is incredible, a real boon for Manchester.
