Most club sides would murder international sides. They play almost every day, and mixes they nationalities for maximum efficiency. Bayern would beat germany every day.
This wasn't the case when I was growing up. The shift has only happened over the last 10 years I reckon.

Correct. A little out of date but this was calculated using the stats of the available players in Europe:

Occasionally top club sides play National teams such as in this article. The club nearly always wins. The National teams used to be better but Bosman and money changed all that.

Spain are the exception but they benefit from the the two best club teams aside from Bayern.

Any Index which has United beating Spain is a joke.

As for players playing together, what club do you think Gomez, Schweinsteiger, Muller, Kroos, Badstuber, Neuer, Boateng play for? The rest is pretty much Dortmund.

Or lets look at Italy, who do you think Pirlo, Buffon, Chielini, Barzagli, Giaccherini play for? The rest is completely AC Milna.

They're both useless. Isco is the phantom on the bench and soldado plays for Atletico Madrid.

The commentator for Brazil v Japan was crap too Jo was apparently getting the goals in Italy, he was no doubt confused by the fact that Brazil's top tier is also called "Serie A", I don't remember a team called Atletico Mineiro playing in Italy though. Martin Keown kept saying that Fred should be better at holding the ball up, forgetting the fact that he is a Brazilian ST who plays in Brazil (it is an almost alien concept to be particularly adept at holding the ball up in that football culture), and Fred despite being a front to goal ST who scores with either feet and his head is not a natural finisher.

The evidence is pretty overwhelming in favour of the clubs.

This is only one of several analysis that came to the same conclusion. I remember Brazil v Barca when Brazil were the best National side in the world and Barca were a top ten club. Brazil insisted on having ALL the players that qualified for both teams. The result was 2-2 but Barca had a goal disallowed that was miles onside and Barca had over 60 % possession.

1995 it started to turn. Mourinho Baconface and Beckenbauer are just three of many people to make the same point.

This article by Marcotti explains it better than I could, but you are entitled to your opinion. Certainly National teams used to be superior but that was quite a few years ago now.

Check out transfermarkt too for comparisons of squad values. Bear in mind who Barca have just bought though.
