The Conservative Party

I’m more than happy to. I have a lot of grievances with them myself, some for the same reasons as those to the left of politics and some for not actually being conservative enough socially.

I also really like Starmer so it’s out a question mark over them for me.

The more I hear from everything else in politics though, the more off putting it is and the more likely I am to go Tory in 2024, which would be the first time in 7 years, believe it or not.

Whereas for me, their methods make it impossible for me to even consider voting for them.

Yep. I just don’t think some of it is remotely justifiable regardless of political position.
Have you considered that others may look at the positions of Labour and LibDem and think the same?

To be frank, it’s no one’s business who other people vote for and why.

How could they, neither of them have been in power for the last decade to even try and undermine the role of parliament or our constitutional norms. That’s why I say it’s not for political reasons as such.

Of course it is, there’s no point in ever having any form of political debate otherwise. Individually, then I agree, it’s entirely the individuals choice if they want to share who they vote for and why.

You can behave badly as opposition or have unsavoury people or positions in your party. Even if I agreed with them on domestic and foreign policy, I couldn’t vote for Labour last time because of the antisemitism.

I meant the last part you referred to, of course it’s worth debating the pros and cons of each party and manifesto but on an individual level, it’s none of anyone’s business.

Absolutely. So, for me, that’s two parties that I couldn’t vote for.

On an individual level, yes, I don’t think anyone said otherwise?

His history with eugenics and more recently flirting with COVID denialism might make him too toxic, but with this government who knows.

to be fair with this fucking lot that makes him over qualified for the role - plus he is the sort that was a fag at public school so will have no qualms in making himself look epically stupid for Johnson
